Organisms of the Taiga.
The trees of the Taiga are shaped liked cones so when it snows the snow rolls off instead of breaking the branches from the weight. They also have very waxy needles which prevnt the trees from losing too much water. The Lichens remain dormant underground to protect and insulate themselves from the cold during the winter. Some plants of the Taiga are White spruce, Hemlock, Douglas Fir, and Lichens.
There are not that many animals in the Taiga due to how cold it is and how
little drinkable water there is. But there are enough animals there that the
food web does not fall apart. There are plenty more animals in Taiga food web than pictured but this shows a more basic food web. Most of the animals of the Taiga are moderately small but they can also be really big. Normally the birds of the Taiga migrate south to avoid the harsh winters. Animals of the Taiga also have thick coats of fur so they don't freeze to death. Some examples of animals of the Taiga besides the ones in the picture are Wolverines, Snowshoe Hares, Deer, Black Bears, Bobcats, and Minks.
